Why Do You Hide Yourself?

God place it upon my heart to read the bible yesterday which I admit something I mean to do daily but don't actually do as often as I should. But I am about to change that.

 I had a rough day with going down the police and reading the report which was so inaccurate about my son's  assault.

 The schools do not help us, the police do nothing but deliberate indifference...   I seemed assaulted on every side.  Is there no justice??  I wrap my arms around my boys trying to protect the flay and the on slaught protecting them from the injustice but never quite able to do so as it seems to come in waves.

Before I left to take Collin to speech yesterday a voice clearly told me to take my Bible to read while I waited.  After we got there I automatically turned to Psalms and every passage I read spoke to my situation so perfrectly as if God was directly having a conversation with me.  And even when Colllin ended up melting down during therapy I felt peace and calm. Before bed -- late at night I continued to read Psalms...

This one in particular drew me as I had often cried out for justice myself... for those feeling oppressed and caged on every side. ..For my son...

Why Do You Hide Yourself?

10:1 Why, O Lord, do you stand far away?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor;
let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised.
For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul,
and the one greedy for gain curses [1] and renounces the Lord.
In the pride of his face [2] the wicked does not seek him; [3]
all his thoughts are, "There is no God."
His ways prosper at all times;
your judgments are on high, out of his sight;
as for all his foes, he puffs at them.
He says in his heart, "I shall not be moved;
throughout all generations I shall not meet adversity."
His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression;
under his tongue are mischief and iniquity.
He sits in ambush in the villages;
in hiding places he murders the innocent.
His eyes stealthily watch for the helpless;
he lurks in ambush like a lion in his thicket;
he lurks that he may seize the poor;
he seizes the poor when he draws him into his net.
10 The helpless are crushed, sink down,
and fall by his might.
11 He says in his heart, "God has forgotten,
he has hidden his face, he will never see it."

12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted.
13 Why does the wicked renounce God
and say in his heart, "You will not call to account"?
14 But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation,
that you may take it into your hands;
to you the helpless commits himself;
you have been the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer;
call his wickedness to account till you find none.

16 The Lord is king forever and ever;
the nations perish from his land.
17 Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted;
you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear
18 to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed,
so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.

There is truly something very wrong with this world we live in and it's
only getting worse. I have never seen youth so filled with hate, anger,
and violence. It is so sad parents have to raise decent kids in this
environment, surrounded by such fear, in our own schools and our own communities
 and those kids attacked are generally the
ones are usually -- the innoncent, the
nice, the disabled, those who lack the "killer instinct" and
aggressiveness of their peers instead they are victimzed for being who they are and nonviolent.
All one can
do is pray  taht God will serve justice to them.

What could possibly motivate someone to
get such enjoyment at another's pain is beyond my comprehension.

It's as if evil lives and breeds in these kids... and it getting worse and worse.

In light of all the continued harassment, blame, and basically deliberate indifference my family has faced after my son's assault. It's so sad to realize there is very little justice or help fro victimized children of bullying (unless of course you ahve a video tape - which my son's assault was also videotaped for perverse pleasure by kids - but we were unable to recover it)
